Clients name : Course : Mass Media : Why television is the worst . How many people spend every spare moment they have , vegetating in front of a square piece plastic and wires ? Mass media has done a great deal to change our lives , sometimes for good , but mostly to the detriment of our relationships , fitness , critical thinking and worst of all , our morals . Freedom of speech and freedom of expression was purported to be in the interests of the public , but we will explore the fundamentally damaging effects of these forms of sedentary brainwashing , with particular reference to the extreme effects of television and film . The internet , radio and television are amongst the worst forms of influential media the world knows today , but what makes them the downfall of our society and why is television still the most ignoble of the mass media we see today ? Critical thinking ? When was the last time you were able to think for yourself ? When was the last time your relationship crumbled because it didn 't quite resemble Notebook or Romeo and Juliet ? So you think you can think for yourself , here is proof that you cannot . Media creates sedentary lifestyles stunts creativity and degrades critical thinking and moral obligation , the worst of which is television . Sedentary lifestyles have led to a number of well documented health issues and it cannot entirely be blamed on the food we eat , it has as much to do with the time we spend on our derriere 's as the MacDonald 's we eat for lunch .
