why Art in Saudi Arabia lost its value?
p Why Art In Saudi Arabia Lost Its Value Our world is surrounded by art . All forms of living and non-living things are surrounded by art . To a layman , art is the expression of beauty put into definite form . Although there are people who only see the superficialities of art , there are also people who thrive in doing the arts , not just for entertainment alone but for serious studies and practice as well . Art defines every civilization in the world . From the earliest civilization , art has already been in use . Aztecs used

gold and other precious metals to enhance their works . Others used clays in their potteries . Art is not only limited to painting as is often done by people when they hear about the word art . Defining art , it is a disciplined activity that may be limited to a skill at painting drawing , sculpting or architecture . Accordingly , the word Art in general encompasses various meanings in its broadest sense - art may be found in writing , performing , music , acting , pottery , weaving photography among others
The value of art is often misunderstood . Usually , its value is often limited to entertainment and viewing instead of focusing on its other values as well . The value of art clearly then is not limited to purely entertainment . But rather , art is one of the earliest manifestations of culture since it fulfils a person 's desire to interpret the world according to his or her view and understanding . And such understanding and interpretation is placed permanently on a marking , a piece of something that may as well be remembered for a long period of time
Moreover , art also plays a very important role in society . Art has become a status symbol of individuals . In England for example , art thieves go to such extent to steal precious works of art in to sell them to art collectors who are willing to pay anything just to own such works of art . However , despite such role that art has , it would seem that not too many people view art in the same manner as some people do
In my last year in the university , I had the experience of conducting an art workshop with an intermediate school . It would seem that instead of seeing the value of art in these classes , some of the students seemed reluctant to participate in studying art . To some extent other students have tried to sneak out of their art classes . What was worse , teachers themselves seemed to take little value of the time given for art classes and instead try to discuss other subjects in the class . It would seem that art is slowly losing its value . Instead of being educated students see studying art as an added burden to their education . This left me wondering , why is art being ignored
I tried to look into my thoughts and knowledge about Art to seek for the answer . Art defines every civilization in the world . We , solely have a very wonderful and distinctive Art...
