Abuse is defined as the effort to have power over the behavior of another person . It is done by establishing power , closeness , dependency and faith that which make the sufferer susceptible . More often , those people who have abusive powers are those that have great influences with the sufferer 's personal life . On the other hand , those people who are prone to abuse are those who have characteristics of being weak , low self-esteem , gullible and very dependent . Due to these defined attitudes , their oppressors are more motivated to constrained and manipulate their lives
