college , among them is stated how I see myself contributing to Canadian society as a

result of such education . Although Mr . Wilson cites America in his essay , I would like to

think that my post secondary education can contribute the same to my native land of

He talks of peace and prosperity ' as being part of the American Dream

however , I think that both of these are probably the dream of any nation , and certainly

Canada . I do think that my college education will , as Mr . Wilson points out , make me a

better human being ' allowing me to have better understanding of my country and its

place in the world . The effects of a college education are far reaching and have a domino

effect . Paul Wilson points out that college graduates are better able to guide their

families . If this is so , then the leadership aspects of what I will learn can also be directed

toward leading Canada in the right direction as well

Although I am uncertain as to what my profession will be after college I do know

that it will allow me to explore a wider range of innovative ideas that will help me choose

the kind of occupation at which I will work best and be most happy and that can only be a

positive aspect for the country in which I live as well

College education becomes a legacy for future generations ' Mr Wilson goes

on to say . By securing for myself a post secondary education , it will be more likely that

my own progeny will continue its pursuit , thereby strengthening the future generations of

Canada with informed and intelligent decision makers that can continue to secure our
