Introduction

Domestic violence occurs between partners and among family members . It may start from as simple as shouting at each other , which can worsen and lead to robust verbal abuse . It can intensify to physical maladjustment and eventually result to death . It involves a lot of characteristics and manifestations such as , but not limited to , apology coming from the abuser , denial , fault-finding , fear , and despair . According to the National Center for Victims of Crime , domestic violence represents the intentional intimidation , assault , battery sexual assault , or other abusive actions committed by a family or household member against another .
