Introduction In today 's society a big question has arisen on the ethics of law enforcement practitioners . People who possess the authority of enforcing laws in the society are very often accused of violation of various ethical norms and corruption . On many occasions , they even found to be guilty of not paying value to the ethical issues associating with their positions . Keeping this situation in mind , here an attempt has been made to find out what these people actually thing about this situation , are they ready to admit that the law enforcement

system in practice has deteriorated in terms of paying respect to ethical values ? If yes , do they know why law enforcement practitioners are becoming increasingly involved in these misconducts
In order to find out these , a policeman and a jail superintendent have been interviewed . We have resorted to the technique of interviews for analyzing their views on the issue under consideration . Interview is considered to be a very useful and powerful tool for conducting researches , particularly qualitative researches . During any research interviews of the selected people are conducted to find out what a person actually think regarding a particular issue . Interviews enable researchers to access the perspective of the people who are being interviewed . Through interviews it is possible to find out certain important things relevant to the studies that can not be obtained or observed directly . Interviews also help in uncovering and exploring the meanings of certain things related to the people 's behavior , feelings routines etc...
