the Mediterranean Sea , art was found in almost all aspects of life . Art was manifested in everyday items like food and fruit bowls , water jars , jewelry , utensils , and vases . Also in those times , art was expressed in architecture and interiors (details in columns , bas reliefs in friezes , as well as wall frescoes in rooms

Even tombs for the deceased were not spared . Tombs for the ancient elite were embellished with all kinds of artistic details , which will be further discussed below . Two funerary items (The Amathus sarcophagus and a Marble sarcophagus with the Triumph of Dionysos and the Seasons were selected for comparison and evaluation .
