Therefore , the unions are aimed at achieving goals such as better wages , good working conditions , workers enumeration , retrenchment and hiring of new workers , benefits among many more . Unions organization and leadership are mainly influenced by the

economic social , and to extent political factors but at least the objective has remained the same that is , improving the working conditions and maintaining the standards of the existing ones . Again , there are unions comprising of unemployed who have an objective of the welfare of the living conditions and maybe the mode of governance
Unions are dated long time back and with time they have undergone several reforms depending on the regime determined by the economic activities and the political influence (Panitch Donald , 2003 . The activities of the unions differ in the aspects of goals to be achieved How the members benefit from the union is among the main paths guiding the unions . For example , society trade unions benefit the members by providing funeral expenses , health expenses , poverty alleviation and many more .
