Interrogation is a conversational process of information gathering . The aim of the interrogation is to control an individual so that he or she will either willingly supply the requested information or if someone is unwilling to participate in the process to make the person submit the demands for information . On the interrogation process there 's a person involved called interrogator wherein he seeks to acquire information from the respondent . The respondent is the one who knows about the certain situation and was being ask or force to give any related information . There

are different types or approach of interrogation that are being used on crimes , and here are some of them : direct , incentive emotional , fear , pride and ego , we know all friend and foe , silence and establish your identity . Direct approach is about questioning a source without having to use any approach . The interrogator just talk to him /her anywhere just like a having a normal conversation . Incentive approach is the most successful approach you get to bribe the respondent with a cash reward for the information . Emotional approach is a technique which overrides the respondent 's rationale for resisting . It 's like putting yourself on the position of the respondent 's , you empathize with them , and other is telling them things like you 're probably not meant to do that ' you 're just sad ' etc . Something like that the respondent 's will feel that the interrogator feels what he /she 's been going through . Fear approach , is basically telling the respondents what is the possibilities or what things might happen to them if they didn 't tell the information , you also tell the respondent that you really need this information or else their loved ones might not drink his medication etc . or any kind of reasons that they are afraid of . The pride and ego approach is the source is constantly flattered into providing certain information in to gain credit

You also make them feel that nobody else can help them , and the reasons why you approach them is that you know that they are the only ones who can help you , the respondent feel of self-importance that you wouldn 't solve the crime if they not going to help you . The we all know approach is basically you (interrogator ) telling them (respondent ) some information that you have that is may or may not be true like : we have the lab result back and we know that you 're the one who is there or we got your telephone records back we know that you called . It can be successfully done on sources or respondents who are napve , in a state of shock , or in a state of fear . Silence approach , sometimes just by sitting on the room with them (respondent ) the interrogator must be patient when using this technique . It will usually succeed when given a chance . The interrogator will also use body language such as looking in the eyes very patiently , as if you really know...
