theory, reasoning and critical thinking skills
1 . If a crystal ball would tell you the truth about one thing you wished to know concerning yourself , life , the future or anything else would you look- why or why not My philosophy in life has been to expect the unexpected but be ready to embrace it . I am a very curious and impatient person , so if I start using the crystal ball there would be stopping me . As a consequence , I will be relying on it for all my decisions and that would make me less of a human being with

the ability to decide for oneself
Also , I believe that all our experiences--be it happiness , sadness heartbreak , making mistakes--all shape who we are and how we deal with things . It also makes us appreciate life more fully , because how can you be glad to be contented or happy when you have not gone through periods of sadness ? All the negative things in life exist to highlight the positive , and make us all the more human
Of course , it would be nice to somehow know for sure the winning lottery numbers , or what the next exam questions would be , or which stocks are going to sell like hotcakes in six months , or if and when something bad will happen . You can take advantage of that knowledge or you can use it to avoid unpleasant things . But these also takes away important things that a human being should experience . It undermines the value of hard work , putting in sweat , toil , and perserverance to acquire knowledge and wealth . Also , if you know that something good will happen to you , you would come to expect it and it would take away some degree of happiness , or even surprise : little things that make up the spice of life
Call it simplistic , but almost all movies that deal with distortions in time , or changing the future , almost always carry with it a corresponding negative effect . It 's because for everything you change it creates a domino effect that would change other things as well , or other lives . If you knew that you 'd die on a bus accident today and you did not get on that bus , someone else would be in your position . If you know your exam questions , you would not take time to study or even get to know the concepts , you 'd just be memorizing . In effect , you 're just cheating yourself
Another thing is that if you look into that crystal ball and see something negative , like your mother being murdered , you 'd spend your whole life just figuring out how to stop that from happening . Instead of living your life , you 're going to start living for everybody else That 's not much fun . As Michael Drosnin , author of "The Bible Code writes that he has spent years trying to warn world leaders about the coming end of days , predictions he had discovered in a code in the Bible . He laments that it was a "terrible responsibility...
