This thing is called the oppressive and greater social pressure of the capitalist society prevailing in both Emilie Durkheim 's time and during Karl Marx 's time

Karl Marx had made many sociological masterpieces . One of which is his theory of alienation . This theory of alienation plus other Karl Marx masterpieces were used as the basis for launching communism in the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics and China , as well as many countries of the world . Emilie Durkheim presented many sociological masterpieces One famous piece is the anomie which shows her deep research activities Anomie will also be deeply discussed in the next paragraphs

The similarities between Karl Marx 's concept of alienation and Emile Durkheim 's
Concept of Anomie is that both show that a person is not happy with his or her current state in society . In Karl Marx 's alienation , some workers are unhappy producing goods that they will have to part with For , these goods are the properties of the capitalist who has hired him for the job . Likewise , Emilie Durkheim 's Anomie (Daly , 1994 ) person is also unhappy . He or she is unhappy with the people around him . Also Emilie Durkheim does not enter the realm of psychology to try to offer solutions to lessen the unhappy person 's picked alternative which is to take his or her own life
Emilie Durkheim just states the fact that , indeed , there are persons who prefer to take out his or her own life to end it all
Another similarity is that the persons in both Karl Marx 's concept of alienation and Emile Durkheim 's concept of Anomie feel that the person wishes that one day they this sad situation would end . This is actually what happened to Russia where the workers took up arms to drive away or even kill the capitalists . After , the workers distributed the properties among themselves . Meanwhile , Emilie Durkheim 's person sees that the only solution to his or her prolong suffering and misfortune is to snap out one 's own life
