attracting overseas interest (Durrant , 2007 , n .p ) The various groups involved in the international movement of players usually interact within prescribed boundaries and conventions and with little difficulty and controversy (Stead , Maguire , 2001 , page 37 ) However along with the migration of international players and coaches come some positive and negative effects on the various aspects of British society This will shed some light on these positive and negative effects

Opportunities for British youth development

The identification and selection of elite players are producing migrant patterns that are seen increasingly to impact upon indigenous player development and , potentially , the viability and success of national teams (Maguire , 2000 , pg . 759-769 ) As top international players come into the UK to join various league teams , the level of competition goes to the top where only the best players get a chance to play from famous teams like Manchester United and Chelsea . This has a drawback for the domestic British youth . Now it is hard for them to enter their favorite clubs as the competition is no longer on the domestic level . Now , every prospective British soccer player has to be better than the official national players of Brazil , Argentina , Spain Portugal , France , Germany , and other various leading soccer teams to secure a place in British league teams . On the other hand , migration of international players and coaches also results in the development of young British soccer players . When young players get a chance to see top international stars in flesh , not just on TV , they learn new techniques . They also get motivated to adopt the good playing traits of international players . Moreover , players in league teams get a chance to play with top international players and in the supervision of top international coaches . This gives them a better chance to enhance their skills . These enhanced skills are an added advantage when these players come into the field on behalf of the national English team
