Underinsured is the term associated for the portion of the population who believes that their current insurance terms are not adequately protecting them from the surge of healthcare expenses and a direct determinant of which is the notable gap on the income to healthcare cost exposure ratio (Schoen et al , 2008 . Theoretically , underinsured state is supposed to be rampant

on the low income earners of the society but recent reports show that this phenomenon is becoming a serious problem for moderate to higher income earners (Silverman , 2008 . Consequences of underinsured state include increased morbidity and mortality , increased rate of hospitalization , reduced workforce productivity , and other relevant community and familial-based stress and pressure (Silverman 2008 . One of the social factors that is deemed to be related on the rise of underinsured is age where it is noted that adults aged 19-29 are 59 of the time more likely to be uninsured and underinsured while older adults aged 50-64 are 60 of the time more likely to be insured (Schoen et al , 2008 .
