Adolescence is a difficult time . Bodies , minds , and many other elements begin to change and children can become very overwhelmed by themselves and their peers . Many feel the need to assert their independence and begin behaving in a completely different manner . Adolescents also begin to take an interest in and learn more about sexuality . It appears that many struggle to understand it . A big part of this confusion is the discovery of his or her 's sexual orientation and what that really means Some will feel confident

in their orientation while others will have more questions Females are more fluid with their sexual orientation because they mature faster than males and a more open to different experiences Females began puberty earlier than males by almost two years . Once both males and females have begun puberty , males take the lead in sexual interests , having higher sex drives than females . On average , males tend to think about sex once every minute where females only seem to think about sex a few times every day . In Western society , males are encouraged to be proud of their sexuality , seeing that deeper voices the growth of facial and other pubic hair and other signs of male puberty are celebrated . While females are looked upon very sexually they appear to be given the opposite lesson from males and learn that with puberty comes trouble . Menstruation , breasts , and pubic hair are often presented as burdens to young females and many go through this...
