What should the U.S. role be in a global community
What should the role of the U .S . be in a global community The United States has become the world police for countries that cannot effectively solve their disputes by themselves . Even though this is the case , the problem is that the United States is not an international institution . As a nation , it also has its own interests and this might get in the way when it is mediating disputes among nations . This is the problematic aspect of this issue . How should the US then balance its own interests with that of mediating

the troubles that other countries face ?The U .S . needs to allow other countries and nations to settle their own issues that arise . Instead , the U .S . sticks our hands in the middle of the issues and forces our policies or the policies of the United Nations on the troubled countries . Have we forgotten that we are a country too That we have issues that still need to be addressed at the end of the day . We should not continue to spend costly amounts of money to intervene on countries around the world . If we continue on the path that we are on , we will eventually implode on ourselves , we cannot continue to ignore the problems that face Americans everyday
Our children are hungry , homeless and abused , we have Americans losing their homes and jobs every minute of every day , and even in these times we have racially and hate motivated crimes that take place at any single moment . Yet , there we are making sure that other countries have food and the tyrants that have created the genocide of their people are removed from power , giving loans that never have to be paid back to the U .S . for rebuilding their country . Even after all of this support and aid , there are still countries that will not stand by our side and fight when a terrorist evades our homeland
The U .S . foreign policy is to intervene in all issues around the world which in my estimation is one of the reasons that the U .S . joined forces with the United Nations . As one of most influential organizations in the world the United Nations has made some very crucial mistakes in their play for power , this organization has stepped in many times in troubled countries supposedly to help , yet after getting involved the U .N . made the situation worse (Lipson Cohen , 1999 . Can the U .S . really afford to be associated with this kind of organization ? As one of the largest and most commonly known world power houses the U .S . creates enemies almost daily by demanding and participating in foreign policies around the world . A more likely solution to the U .S . would be to focus on our own land and make sure that the atrocities that are happening around the world do not take place in our bs . In its role in policing the world and in rooting out terrorism , the US should never forget...
