As they would say , there is no better way to learn and know yourself than through reflection . This , I think is very true , especially when it comes to writing . For others , maybe , writing is a chore (a tough and tricky one at that ) and it would always be difficult for them to put their thoughts on . But I think , all that you really need to do is just look in yourself , reflect on your own strengths and weaknesses pinpoint which one

is which and use them around in your writing

I think that when you do reflective writing , you look at yourself in a different perspective , sort of detaching yourself from your own work and then you think of what good you did , what went wrong and how to improve it as well . Reflective writing (as clichy as it may seem ) really helped me a lot in knowing more about myself . By this process , you discover more things about yourself through your writing . When you reflect , you really have to be unbiased (since you are evaluating your own work ) and look at your assembled work in a third-person point of view

Different writing assignments may have different writing outcomes depending on factors around you . There would be times when you won 't feel like writing , there would be times that you would be too eager too write that the pages required may not be enough for what you really want to say . But the important things , you are able to express bits of yourself through every piece of writing

Basically , not all the things you need to write about are s that you like . Probably , even for the best of , there would be times that they would be forced to write something they do not like , which I think is one of the biggest issues one faces when it comes to writing However , as you write more , you get accustomed to this . I discovered that all you need is to give yourself time to think about your so that you are able to organize your thoughts before putting them to . In this way , even though I didn 't feel like writing , it allowed me to slowly break down the process and eventually , produce my work

The biggest success , I think , is when something you write is recognized by the readers . It is fulfilling when you know that you are able to put into what others maybe thinking about themselves , knowing that they agree with what you wrote . It 's like you get your message across the readers . Even if the do react negatively to what you wrote , at least it stirred something in them . Even I myself react negatively to some pieces of writing but when you think about it , the written piece was effective because it evoked in you some response that you may not have expected
