Field Experience Reflection Field Experience Reflection Looking at the results of my field experience evaluation , I was able to determine my strengths and weaknesses as an educator . Through these results , I would be able to pinpoint the areas I need to work on to and improve , and the areas I have to maintain and further strengthen . The parts where I received low scores were my weaknesses and the parts that I received high scores are my strengths . I was able to determine that one of my strengths was on developing plans for individualized instructions . This is the part where I received high scores , and the reason for this is that I work with students under Special Education . For me , this area is my forte , wherein I always do my best to determine the specific needs of different students . These students need specialized attention in order for them to fully incorporate what I am teaching . It 's because everyone has different learning levels , and you can 't treat your students as a single entity . I do my best to address their needs as individuals , not as a homogenous class . By using individualized instructions , I am able to work on specific things with various students - an effective way for them to learn everything that I teach . Another strength that was reflected on my field experience evaluation results is that I establish a positive teacher-student relationship . I think this resulted from my concern towards my students , since not all of the students get to receive the love they deserve at home . This is true not only for those whose parents have financial problems , but also for the well-off ones . They spend more time on their work and lack the time to care for their sons and daughters . Since me and my fellow teachers truly believe that the school should be the student 's second home , we want them to know that there are other people who cares about them . For me , it is important to develop a good relationship with students so that they 'll be able to trust me enough that they would come to me whenever they need to talk to me . This makes my task as an educator easier , now that I know that if they don 't understand something , they won 't hesitate to ask for my help . With the field experience evaluation , I was also able to find out about my weaknesses . The first one which I received low scores on was about initiating and encouraging extra-curricular activities and interactions to expand social network . This is because I address the needs of my students individually , that I sometimes overlook matters on expanding social network and the initiation and encouragement of activities that could promote socialization for my students . In order to improve on this aspect , I should allocate a time for them to mingle and socialize with other people .
