Aim This study aims to fully comprehend the compatibility of profitability and productivity . There are several ways in which this study theorizes its correlation . This is done through understanding the school of thought which argues that in some way , productivity and profitability should be able to meet halfway and establish compatibility . This is understood in such a way that a company which has goal of maximizing time and effort yet deals with quantity efficiently , the company becomes more open to profit opportunities . This may be perceived by lowering the cost of

making future transactions
The other school of thought , on the other hand , pushes that productivity will eventually have a negative impact on profitability because productivity often requires sustainable development in the company 's business . This in turn leads to higher productivity but lower profitability . The aim of this research is to fully understand which school of thought addresses the questions posed as to whether profitability and productivity is indeed compatible and can be used simultaneously
Methodology
Juran (1988 ) proposes a approach to describing quality functional in resolving the evident disagreement between the two schools of thought on the relation between profitability and productivity . These methods recommend that though there are several extent of quality , a variety of dimensions can be categorized as fitting in to one of two divergent categories : 1 ) quality that convenes client desires and 2 ) quality that has autonomy from insufficiency .
