Essay for potential job
Essay for Potential Job Very often we miss unique experiences in our life because they do not touch our hearts . Why don 't we notice and appreciate a bright rainbow in the sunny sky after the rain , or a beautiful flower that blossoms in the middle of a desert ? In our modern world events are often considered valuable and exceptional only if they bring material gain . The Exceptional Experience that I have created during my senior year in High School did not bring me financial rewards , but it touched the hearts of

many , brought them hope and reassurance , and that is what makes it so special to me
My friends and I have created a volunteer after school tutoring club called the Kiwi Club . The group of High School students was serving children from 8th grade and younger , helping them to catch up in various subjects they had difficulties with . The uniqueness of this project was its volunteer basis and the difference it made for the children and their families
Each of us had difficulties with some class during our school life . Some have the skills and persistence needed to overcome temporary hardships and successfully move on , but others get stuck on one stumbling-block then misunderstandings keep accumulating to the point when they just give up . This causes the decline in self-confidence , poorer results in other subjects and even communication problems . Parents do not always have the time and knowledge needed to help their children catch up and often do not have the means to pay for external help . I believe no one should be denied school tutoring because of having financial disadvantages and children who really want to succeed need a place where they can turn for help free of charge
Having started as a small project with two tutors and about five students in the corner of the school library , till the end of my senior year the club was one of the most popular after school activities , with fifteen tutors and up to fifty students visiting each time . The Kiwi Club stood out against the majority of after school activities , namely sports clubs and environmental societies , as it united both the idea of volunteer effort and academic achievement . We were excited to see the results of our work the realization that we were making a difference was more rewarding than any payment . Few hours of our free time helped children not only academically it restored their confidence as well as improved relationships with parents and peers . Parents in turn were thankful to see their children strive for excellence , and notice the corresponding improvement in their grades for them the Kiwi Club was really an Exceptional Experience in our country where money is everything...
