Several traditional philosophers of knowledge namely : Socrates , Plato , Aristotle , St Augustine , and St . The philosophers Socrates , Plato , and Aristotle suggest and share similar views on philosophy and epistemology to teach men the basic principles to aid man

in daily living . Socrates ' view on knowledge is that it is innate in every individual thus , it could manifest and it could be utilized by focusing on one 's self Plato 's idealistic view describes a good life that has to be grounded on optimism and fortitude Lastly , Aristotle 's realistic insight proposes the significance of the use of reason to remember or recall man 's inherent quality of being all-knowing . And also , Aristotle maintains his stance on moderation that extremes should be avoided in to live a good and a happy life

Same with the religious philosophers like St . Augustine and St . Thomas Aquinas , the saints preached on how to attain a good life which is synonymous with happiness . They both proposed that a life of happiness could be found in focusing on God as the central source of everything
