Compassion - Be aware of the feelings and sufferings of others . True compassion stems from the understanding of another being 's true nature and his /her place in the web of life

What : My goal is to use the feeling of compassion to achieve a greater good

Why : Compassion leads to acts that give comfort and relieve suffering It is also by understanding others that I can come to understand myself better . I believe that no man is an island and it is our responsibility to take part in the betterment of others

How : The first step is to donate to local charity institutions whenever I can . In the future , I plan to take up a profession that is connected with alleviating some of the world 's suffering

Sincerity - Make yourself free from pretense , deceit , and hypocrisy . Be faithful to your heart

What : My goal is to live an honest life

Why : To live one 's life with with truthfulness and honesty is to live it with meaning and significance . With this , I can build a strong character and good morals , and thus be a role model to everyone

How : Self awareness . I should consciously be aware of what I say and do and my motives for saying or doing them . I will also try to refrain from gossip and slanderous talks without any real substance

Lawfulness - Be a law-abiding citizen . Adhere strictly to laws and customs do not break nor bend them

What : My goal is to maintain a clean , crime free existence

Why : Laws are enacted for the greater good , and obedience to them will guide me in becoming a better individual . More importantly , being law-abiding bespeaks of a good character which I want to espouse

How : I will be conscientious and will educate myself of the rules that apply to my day to day life so I do not unconsciously break them . As the saying goes , ignorance is not an excuse . I will also always keep my conscience in check

Focus - Find the goals and priorities in life that you must focus on

What : To have a clear focus on the things I want to achieve

Why : Achieving one 's goals takes one small action after another and requires a clear mental picture of what one wants . I want to finish all endeavors I undertake as this will give me a great morale boost and improve my self-image

How : Concentrating on one step at a time will help me attain my objective . If I have a big task at hand , I will break them down to small , manageable sections so I don 't get overwhelmed

Success - Anything that you desire is possible with hard work determination , and a strong belief in your abilities . Have a clear cut mission , and work on it

What : To be successful in everything I do

Why : Success is one of the ultimate measures of a man 's life . I believe being successful will make me happy and will give me a great sense of self and fulfillment
