I . Introduction

Since a long time until now , nurses are only known as doctor assistants . Nowadays , those images still adheres among our society Their duties (commonly ) just listen to the doctor instruction and sometimes they cannot communicate with the patient well

II . Nursing Image Analysis in a Emergency Room ' serial movie

When I watched ER , I can say that the nurse character is seen in the supportive roles in the main . Generally , the physician is seen in leading roles . The nurse character is only improving

every case that happened in the hospital , and makes all incidents seem easier to handle

Nurse characters are shown taking an active role in the proceeding and shown primarily in the background . However , the active role in the proceeding ' that I mean in this movie is active to help and support the physician in to take care of the patient . I have to confess that nurse have the important roles in proceeding , although they have no roles to decide something that need to be done for the patient . They only assist the smoothness of the proceeding

Beside nurse characters , I can see other character that also provides nursing care in this movie . It is the physician . I observe that the physicians in this movie are not only giving nursing care for the patient , but they also giving the genuine treatment for the patient physically and emotionally . In addition , I think both of nurses and physicians are providing actual nursing care

In scenes with both nurses and physicians , both are appear to be in control . Because , they are just ordinary humans , sometimes make mistake they need to be reminded and controlled . However , I notice that the physicians have better understanding of client /patient needs . I perceive that the physicians try to realize what the important thing for the patient 's recovery is

I will say that man as well as women may aspire to a career in nursing I see in this movie , both of man and women are capable and competent to be a nurse . They do their job very well and help each other if there are some incidents happen in hospital . I can see that they love their job as a nurse very much

In general , the ages that shown on nurse characters in ER ' are same there is no one that too old , and no one that too young . I am estimating about 25 until 30 years old . Moreover , according to my watching in this movie , I guess all of them are single . Maybe they are too busy to build career on nursing , so that they do not have enough time to have a personal relationship

In ER , nurse portrayed as intelligent , confident , and ambitious people . Especially the figure of the nurse 's leader , she has good personality , wise , and can solve every difficulty well in front of her staff . If other healthcare providers are included in the story , we will see the differences in personality traits...
