The mediator 's role in the mediation process involves the asking of correct questions which would elicit information from the parties as to the facts leading to the controversy and their feelings and positions . the parties feel comfortable in the process , which would make them open up

There are many kinds of questions that can be used by the mediator , and their differences lie in their use and the time that they can be utilized during the mediation process . My would discuss the various types of questions , their examples , and their usefulness in each stage of the mediation process
