Disadvantages

It is very hard to take corrective action unless production deviates from the set point . Further , it is extremely hard to detect any deviations unless the controlled variables are easily noted or are online . Its performance is not suitably provided if it is delayed for long and if it does not provide clear compensation for calculated disturbances . Moreover , it requires a mathematical model for the performance
