SURVIVING THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE CLASS AND UWSR

One of the most unavoidable dilemmas faced by most non-native English speakers in entering this school is how they can cope up with the required competencies of the English language . This predicament is an inevitable circumstance that they have to face squarely , most especially in the language classes and in the University Writing Skills Requirement . As a non-native English speaking student , I

am not exempted to this predicament but I took this as a challenge and intend to pass the English class and the UWSR . I am moving towards that end

I deem believe that I can hurdle the English class and gain the competencies required in the UWSR . Out of the formal academic setting , I have my friends who never failed to encourage and support me every step of the way . At times when I feel a bit down with a task , they are there to keep me going . They also teach me that is why I have never fallen out of studying the English language at any time

As a non-native English speaker I did also have anxieties that my inadequacies with the language were very apparent in my communication with other people , that my limitations might have been magnified and misunderstood . This thought emotionally upset me . However , this did not impede me to break the language barrier . Instead it gave me the drive to keep learning the English language and as I intently look at the comments in my essay writings in this class , again I come to believe I was moving in the right...
