The Role of Nature and Nurture in Adult Physical Health

When an adult reaches the retirement age , he /she becomes prone to different kinds of diseases both in physical and in mental that hamper them from enjoying life to the fullest , at least enjoy the fruit of their labor . In many reports everywhere , these adults have evidence of physical disabilities that usually acquired early in life and become severe as they reach late adulthood . Many of these adults are experiencing discomfort in many parts of their body sometimes the illness starts as

simple flu which later turns into a chronic disease such as bronco-pneumonia a high blood pressure will increasingly develop complications such as diabetes and cardio-vascular disease and the most serious scenario in adulthood is when a person experience disablement . The least explanation to this problem lies on the fact that , adults have less body-immune system that serves as a natural protection of the body which is nurtured by taking healthy food and acquiring healthy lifestyle . Scientifically speaking , an adult has a greater chance of acquiring healthy life if he sustains a healthy lifestyle in younger age . As Forrest and Riley pointed out , many common chronic and mental diss have modifiable precursors that arise during childhood ' Adult , at this period in life , must take extra effort to stay healthy physically and mentally to keep them active and productive and most importantly to enjoy life free of anxiety

The worst scenario about unhealthy adulthood due to disability is that they often experience barriers in physical activities that cause much of their behavioral problems and discomfort . If not be given proper care and treatment , these adults turn out to be a burden to many of us especially the family members . In American families , family members do not provide tender care for their adults unlike the Asians who have high regard and respect for adult members of the family

The term nature and nurture according to Marcus Pembrey is the sum to a person 's genetic make-up , and nurture in to the person 's physical nutritional and psychosocial environment . Pembrey pointed out that nature and nurture goes together and that it can not be detached with regards to a person 's physical health .
