Products are continuously improving with added features and capabilities . New product development and innovation are the core business and competency of technologically dependent organizations . However , innovation and product development are also dependent on both the internal and external environment that pose threats and risks that when not addressed immediately or prior to the adoption of technology may cause serious loss on the part of the organization . These type of organizations are often affected by the rapid changes and emergence of new technologies . Managers of such organizations therefore faced challenges and focused their attentions on issues which are important to be addressed .
