Abstract

The question that I want to research is the complexity of the poet 's thoughts , and a complexity of love in a big faceless city . The complexity of the poet 's language reflects the complexity of his conscious search for oneself . Furious mental and spiritual transformations take place in the poet 's consciousness and prevent him from finding his true love

The Love Song

of J . Alfred Prufrock

Introduction

On page 2003 of the Class Anthology there is a work by T .S . Eliot entitled "The Love Song of J . Alfred Prufrock . What interest me about this work are the complexity of the poet 's language , and the difficulty of understanding the true meaning of the poet 's words . In this connection , the question that I want to research is the complexity of the poet 's thoughts , and a complexity of love in a big faceless city

It is not difficult to notice the complexity of the poet 's language In T .S . Eliot 's "The Love Song of Alfred J . Prufrock . Language complexity is linked to the complexity of the poet 's mind . There is an impression that the poet constantly tries to re-evaluate his life , and to find his true essence his journey is too complicated and is very indefinite "when I am formulated , sprawling on a pin , [ .] then how should I begin (Eliot , 1919 . The natural question is : when is the poet going to be formulated ? How will the poet know that the mentioned formulation has taken place ? A different question is : how should the poet feel about the separate elements of the female image in the poem "Braceleted arms "downed with light brown hair "perfume from a dress " - these separated impressions create an intangible feeling that a man is completely lost in a big city . These impressions confuse the poet and the reader , and do not reveal the...
