The formative years of humans are very crucial for more than one account , as that is the period when their self-regulation develops which includes key drivers of life , like impulse and emotion control self-guidance of thought and behavior , planning , self-reliance , and socially responsible behavior (Bronson , 2000 Kopp , 1991 . And that gets reflected soon at the end of the preschool years , when well-regulated children show signs of patience or refrain from running after desired objects , or offering help to other children . Thus achieving self-regulation at an early age equip them to meet the complex challenges of future , that goes on increasing day by day , from meeting the academic and social requirements of school to decision making on larger social issues in the later years .
