In any institution be it a health institution , school or other institutions legal aspects should be followed strictly . These are the lawfully accepted condition for operation in institutions

Legal aspect in health administration entails those law imposed by management to enable good operational standards . In health care , for the institution to receive attention both locally and internationally it must ensure that all the legal aspects are taken care of which reduce problems in the institution

. This consequently increases accreditation and certification of the facility which eventually results to good outcome of the services offered in that given institution

Accreditation enables the institution to join recognition which makes the standards of that institution to rise considerably . Through accreditation community can gain confidence in your facility and this is enabled when the practitioner meets the national standards set by health care professionals (George D .Pozgar , 2004

Through accreditation , the organization is stimulated to grow since it receives recognition and prestige which enables the organization to improve its quality to have more attention

Accreditation many build teamwork in organization as the workers are focused to deliver quality services which consequently raise the standards of the facility . Accreditation ensures that healthcare is provided in adequate standard to meet the needs of these who are accessing the facility . It can also facilitate education to staff since they become motivated to learn more skills to ensure that the rights of those accessing the facility are met

Accreditation basically improves the healthcare delivered to patients and the quality of care they receive . This gives the objective measure too external management of quality and quality management (Myrtle Flight 2004 .This scheme should be entirely focused on patient and their pathway in health system . And therefore legal aspects accreditation should be entirely governmental controlled system

In contrast , accreditation have disadvantages , It can lead to limited acceptance by health care provider since they feel that some condition imposed to increase accreditation are too hard on them and therefore they end up regretting them

A lot of input , financially and manpower is needed in to increase accreditation rate . Those inputs are not always forthcoming and they end up raising the cost of services offered and also demanding a lot from health services provider which is not forthcoming . Lack of accreditation in an institution may lead to its collapse since the institution cannot meet the required standards . Failure to meet these standards makes the patient to seek health intervention from other sources or closure of institution by the government since it does not meet the expected legal standards

Any institution faced by problems of lack of accreditation should consequently seek support from the staff who can upgrade their standards of working through basic education by attending workshops and seminars Also government intervention is required provide those regulations at an affordable cost and those which can be afforded by most of the institutions
