Introduction

Police community and relations within the community entail that a thorough analysis is conducted especially in the area of leadership in to evaluate whether criminal investigation is conducted in an effective manner under the leadership of the lead investigator and helps the community at large . Differences between the police and the community arise for several reasons , which may be racial , ethnic , gender based or simply based on frustration and psychological concerns . In to evaluate this relationship between the police and community , and whether police leadership is effective for

any crime or potential crime , a complete analysis and research is very important

Literature Review

Duffee , Renauer , and Scott (2005 ) conducted a study studying causal relationships between the community and police . Their study indicates that reduction in fear of crime , enhancement of perception regarding quality of life and fostering of neighborhood satisfaction and social control can take place if police and community relationship is built or enhanced . Analyzing recent studies and research based on survey of cross sectional data , they have arrived to the belief that community and police relationship can be built and the data is supportive of such a proposition . However , one limitation of this research is that the temporal relationships between police-community co production and these neighborhood-level constructs can not be determined

Studying history of relationship between community and the police , one of the articles related to relationship between the community and police , states that poor relationship of the community with the police force can lead to problems including resentment , alienation and not reporting crimes in extreme cases .
