Hindu Marriage : My friend 's marriage

Introducing Hindu marriage , my friend and me

I attended many marriages till today . But the marriage of my fast friend Rahul was quite a happening . As he was Hindu by religion . Thus going to his marriage was quite a new experience . The reason I have a live experience of this marriage was due to my coincident friendship with both the bridegroom and the bride

Hindu Marriage , the name itself leaves an impression in the minds of our western people that it will be full of rituals

and expensive show off by the people . This impression is very true . The whole process started when after doing MBA , Rahul mother was in big hurry of seeing her son 's marriage . As in the hindu culture , parents find bride for their son Search for bride

Intial stage for selection of bride

The search for bride started with talking about an appropriate girl with the family members and relatives . Of course who could forget the `Pundit ji ' or the holy man 's suggestion . Actually these people act as the tie makers in the hindu tradition . Rahul was not ready for the marriage and was rejecting girl after girl . Later the help of the professional tie makers was taken by giving advertisements in the news . A number of proposals came for that young , smart and business family MBA boy . But the same condition continued . Rahul rejected many pictures of beautiful ladies , which even I could not have rejected

Later Rahul entrusted me to tell his mother about his love of the life and convince them for the marriage . It was difficult in the start but later the 21st century parents accepted the happiness of their son and went on to see Rekha (Rahul 's choice ) for their son 's marriage . I was considered the middleman , as Rekha was my friend too . Both were in love but did not confessed to each other . Thus the whole burden came on me about knowing each other 's thoughts . As Rahul was my fast friend , it was impossible for me to escape any ritual of marriage

Introducing bride

Everyone selected the day to visit the bride 's home . Actually a tea party invitation is mostly given on such occasions . The parents of Rahul looked around in the house and found it be to be a beautiful place to be . The parents of the bride as usual talked high about their daughter saying she has the interior decoration , she has made some foods and snacks etc , etc . Later the girl came with the tray consisting of tea cups and tea jar . She asked the parents one by one about the sugar in their respective tea . In the first glance the parents attitude looked like as they did not like the happening of the love cum arrange marriage . But after looking at the bride some tension level did decreased , as the mother of Rahul was constantly watching the bride and giving good response

Later Rekha...
