The factors that influence new ideas to emerge are due to consumer wants and needs . People are always looking for ways and means to make life easier The success of an innovation is usually based on consumer feedback and how user friendly the innovation is

the telephone . The old design was quite bulky and they used the rotary dialing system . When the phone line was busy , you have to redial all the numbers . For an elderly person with finger arthritis , that is quite painful and difficult to do . For a very busy person , it takes a lot of time to dial again and again .
