Exercise is a physical activity that helps tone the muscles . It has many health benefits . it helps prevent cardiovascular diseases by helping the heart pump regularly with less pressure . It also help reduce the risk or prevent cancers . The immune system is boosted . But with improper and excessive exercise immune system can break down . Diabetes is also prevented or helped . With the proper exercise , insulin production increases . Bone density

and bone building is also benefits a person gets from exercising . Weight can be monitored . With the burning of calories bosy becomes healthier . Even simple movements can help in burning of calories . Psychological aspect is also boosted by exercising . Depression can be eliminated with a good exercise by means of interaction and by producing more endorphin

Exercise is a physical activity that works the muscles . It increases the flow of oxygen . It works the body at a greater intensity . It generally improves cardiovascular health . Some exercises are walking jogging , swimming , dancing , boxing , etc . Generally , exercise is important because it ensures stronger and healthier body . It makes heart and lungs efficient . It increases metabolic rate which results in maintaining healthy weight . It makes muscles and joints stronger . It maintains good posture and flexibility . It also increases production of endorphins and brain functions (Glanville , 2007

With exercise , there is an energy boost . The body become efficient in burning calories . A person can burn calories by building up more muscles . With regular weight training , metabolic rate increases by 15 percent . Simple moving can also increase metabolic rate (e .g stretching , tapping feet . Aerobic exercice is an effective physical activity in burning calories . In one study , it was shown that high-intensity exercice burn calories for several hours afterwards (Burning Calories , 2008

The main benefit of an exercise is good health . Exercise makes the immune system stronger . However , over exercising can also weaken the immune system . Some diseases can be prevented with proper exercise (The Importance of Exercise , 2008 . Exercise promotes healthy blood sugar level which prevents or controls diabetes . It is recommmended to do at least half an hour of moderate activity at least five days a week Aerobic exercise increases production of insulin which restores normal glucose metabolism by decreasing body fat

Exercise also promote bone density against osteoporosis . Exercise prevents osteoporosis by building stronger and denser muscles . The more bone mass built , the better when a person reaches the age of gradual bone loss as well as bone density . The best exercise to build bones are weight or load-bearing exercises like jogging , hiking , dancing , etc (Exercise , 2005

Exercise is also beneficial in reducing risk of cancer . Some cancers that can be prevented by exercise are intestinal , endometrial , breast colon and lung . Persons who exercise a lot or frequently are less consumers of saturated fats and cigarettes , and more likely to consume fibers . The body weight is also monitored so it is most likely that individuals who exercise are leaner . Obesity is a factor that causes many types of cancers . Exercise helps reduce risk of cancer because it improves bodily movement , reduce fatigue and enhance immune functions (More Evidence Exercise Prevents Cancer , 2004

Physical activity increases level of high-density lipoprotein (HDL ) or good cholesterol . With HDL it is likely to prevent or reduce risk of cardiovascular diseases . Exercise increase blood flow to the heart . It also strenghtens heart contractions which helps the heart pumps more blood but with less pressure . Weight should be monitored since weight gain can bring more risks (Heart Disease , 2008 . Another cardiovascular disease , stroke , can be helped with exercising . Reciprocal repetitive exercise can train the healthy part of the brain to take over the work of the damaged part (Tielis , 2003

With exercise , self-confidence can be boosted . Depression and anxiety as well , can be prevented . Exercise benefits the psychological and physiological of a person . With exercise , the level of endorphins and some mood-enhancing neurotransmitters in the brain increases . It brought about a happier and relaxed person . On the other hand , it decreases release of cortisol , stress hormone . It also release muscle tensions which helps proper sleep patterns . Body temperature is also regulated It brings calming effect . Symptoms like sadness , anxiety , irritability stress , fatigue , anger , self-doubt and hopelessness can be improved Exercise should be done at least 30 minutes , three to five times a week This will help reduce bouts of depression (Depression , 2007

With exercise , depression and anxiety may be lessen or prevented Because of exercise confidence will be uplifted . Being physically active gives one a sense of accomplishment because it is meeting a challenge Appearance will be enhance thus it makes one better . When a person is depressed , distraction is needed so as not to dwell on the depression Exercise is a very effective distraction . A person can also find solace in isolation when depressed but it is not a good idea . Interaction with other people is better . With exercise , interaction is very possible (Depression , 2007

Exercise , therefore , is very beneficial to ones health , psychological and physiological . It should be include in the daily task . Exercise is also beneficial to ones social activities because of possible interactions . Exercise should be done accordingly . Exercise regimen should fit a persons ' need to certain exercise
