The phenomenon of creativity is the power that accounts for every minor innovation and discovery throughout the history of mankind . In the current I intend to examine the nature of creativity paying attention to the way different theorists see it . I 'm also going to argue that practical creativity is the crucial precondition for being competitive in business nowadays because global world demands global thinking

As Keith Sawyer notes in his book Creativity and Development Creativity is notoriously difficult to define . He himself sticks to the broad 1970s definition by Barron and Harrington , which runs as follows : Creativity is a socially recognized achievement in which there are novel products (Sawyer 10 ) Like most theorists , he points out that creativity combines two characteristics : novelty and usefulness . Besides the two views exists a popular concept of creativity as potential aptitude , which is clearly illustrated by the definition from Britannica : The ability to make or otherwise bring into existence something new , whether a new solution to a problem , a new method or device , or a new artistic object or form
