Research Proposal

Women who are diagnosed with Schizophrenia are oftentimes faced with problems causing them to get out of their homes and look for an area that will give them comfort . This research study explores the impact that homelessness has on women who are diagnosed with Schizophrenia . In particular the research will try to look into the factors affecting their homelessness and how women respond on this problem and how their families respond to it

This study is

very important because this will help the women who are experiencing homelessness be responded by the government . This will also explore their thoughts , feelings , and experiences which will be recorded properly so that the concerned officers will identify types of basic services to those who are affected with schizophrenia . It has been a concern of the program developers and led to the concern of the society to the homeless women . The challenge here is to recommend solutions that will be of help to the affected women

Literature reviews revealed that past studies regarding the issue of homelessness have been fraught with ambiguity (Benda and Dattalo 1990

.50 . Women with sickness are the most affected sector in this study . They are the most vulnerable but sometimes were not regarded as individuals rather as patients . In some instances , society has the tendency to blame the victims rather than comforting them . Most of the time victims are not provided with the basic services they need that is why they look for some places whre they can be comforted and respond to their needs

Research methodology . First task on this study is to identify the location of the women who are affected with homelessness because of their sickness . Qualitative data shall be employed during the course of the study . The purposeful sampling method will be utilized as a means to select participants for this study . Questions will be asked to the selected patients /participants . In- depth cases where the study will focus a certain individual which adheres to the objectives of the study For in depth cases within the area interviews will be done to the people who are with the patients and to the patients themselves . All data will be carefully analyzed for emergent themes and similarities . Data will be analyzed depending on the themes presented in the study

Presentations of results will be used as recommendations in improving the treatment to patients who are disturbed with schizophrenia so that there will be no homelessness happen to them . The results of the study will also be compared with the reviewed literature and propose a better and clearer treatment of the case
