The First Civilizations One of the still unanswered questions in the world is , where do we come from ' A question that has been haunting the scientific community for quite sometime . The holy scriptures like the bible provide us with explanation of divine creation , while Charles Darwin offers his theory of Evolution . One aspect of Darwin 's evolution theory is that modern people evolved from the family of apes . Hominids are members of the family of humans , Hominidae , which consists of all the species of the ancestors of humans and apes . At present

, there are noted 20 hominid species that attempt to show the human evolution . However , the hominid fossils are far from complete and there is insufficient evidence that people may have evolved from apes
On the other hand , there are groups of religious people that still believe that the early civilizations and first humans were created by God . These people believed that God is the supreme ruler . This belief is also known as theocracy , which is also a form of government wherein the state is ruled by a person who is believed to be divinely guided
The Egyptians first civilization was discovered through the drawings on the walls of the pyramid which is also known as hieroglyphs . The hieroglyphs are the words of God ' and used mainly by priests . The hieroglyphic writing is mostly seen in temples . This is one of the early forms of writing during the first civilizations
