people to the hands of a minority aristocrats and moneyites . The same voice was echoed before the civil war by Democrats who were opposed to eastern merchants and bankers for taking power from the people . There were many radical political parties which came after the civil war which later formed People Part caling for resoration of economic and political powers back to the people . Away from the USA , the case is the same elsewhere . The business elite usually have more influence in political and economical matters as compared to others (Moyers , 2004

From the ealier structuring of our social and poltical life , there have nto been meachisms to ensure atht the poor and the rich have equal acess to resources . As a result there have been growing level of poverty among the Americans . Today , America has the highest gap between the rich and the poor among the developed nations , a trend which has been growing with time . Freo example in 1960 , the gap between the fist 2096 and the bottom 2096 was 30 times and today this has grown to more than 75 times . There is a small fraction of hosuelholds which have been basking in wealth and poltical powers while the majority of the population is in dire poverty (Moyers , 2004
The rising cost of life has made it difficult for the American middle and working class to make their ends meet . Even when America spends the largest portion of its income on medical services compared to other countries in the world , eight out of ten of 44 million Americans are uninsured . Majority of them fall in the low income households . The working class American is succumbing to pressure from the rising cost of life which is affect household stability , family dynamics , the social mobility factors , and their participation in political and civic life
