The United States of America has been regarded as the oldest democratic state in the whole world since 1789 . Its democracy continuous and is more distinct now . The structure of the political system takes a presidential republic which recognizes the President as the head of the state , the Democratic and the Republican Party and the electoral system

whole world . Its democracy continuous and is more distinct now . The structure of the political system takes a presidential republic which recognizes the President as the head of the state , the Democratic and the Republican Party and the electoral system It holds a Federal system wherein the power is distributed between the Federal government and the States

The legislative branch , executive branch and judicial branch are the three federal branches . Under the legislative branch are the House of Representatives and the Senate . On the other hand , The President , The Cabinet and The Federal Departments and Agencies are the constituent of the Executive branch . Lastly , The Supreme Court and the other Federal Courts constitute the Judicial branch

The oldest and is known as the largest and dominant political party in the world is the Democratic Party . It has been established since 1792 by Thomas Jefferson , James Madison and other influential Federalists . It originates from the Democratic-Republican Party . Next to Democratic Party is the Republican Party , which is known as the Grand Old Party or the GOP

Unlike the Democratic Party , the Republican Party was established by anti-slavery activists and modernizers in 1854

Under the federal system , the members are bounded with the president /head of the state . In this system , the sovereignty is divided between a central authority and the constituent political components This means that the power is dispersed from the Presidency down to the smaller political unit- can either be a state or province . This sharing of power is called federation . A more link to Decentralization theory is reflected in the United States since , it geographically situates 50 states . The Republican Party emphasizes in their platform that the locally officials , and their people and communities must handle and control the greater power for programs related in education and welfare

Three of the advantages of decentralization are the planned dispersal of population and employment , and the right to join on decision-making Under the platform of the Democratic Party , the interests of the working Americans are well represented and protected by the party . Further , the party also seeks for giving the assurance of liberty for all Specifically , the party checks prosperity , progress , and peace Prosperity is attainable by their plan of creating good employment rewarding hard work that is under the Motivation theory , and re-establishing fiscal discipline .
