What is freedom and what does it mean to me?

If first thing in the morning we wake up and breathe fresh air , that is already freedom . And that 's what we are --- American people

The success of our nation did not only come overnight . It took history to build the kind of freedom and democracy we have now . Our forefathers fought single-handedly to become free people . And now , we are savoring the fruits of their centuries-old labor . From a civil perspective , we should treasure the freedom that we have because not all nations enjoy this gift of liberty and justice

p In general , to be free we must not be only physically free but freedom should come from deep within . If we possess peace and harmony not only as a country but in our very own homes , we are free . If we can walk along the streets without fear of being attacked or harassed , we are free . If we can speak our minds without thinking twice about who may counteract , we are free . The definition or our own freedoms still come from us and not from anyone

Finally , we should unite to be free . It takes working hands to maintain our freedom and become independent and autonomous . But of course this is not an easy task we must work hard for it . What the present generation may not attain , there are always young people who can take charge of the future . Until we have ourselves , there 's always hope to stay free . All we need is a deeper understanding of things patience is vital as well We must accept one another and forgive the trespasses of one another Treat each other equally and respect each American so that our freedom stays with us...
