1 . Aims and Objectives

This intends to elaborate about the role of ethics as a silent partner , one who involve in making financial investment or business decision , in business situation

By employing non-participant observation method , collecting data and analyzing qualitative information from a wide range of sources

including journals , books , magazines and online materials , this aims at explaining the needs of corporations to consider ethics as their guidelines in making financial or business decision

In addition , the also intends to describe about several happening in business situation where lack of ethics in decision making has caused disaster in several companies like Enron , Ford , and others worldwide companies

2 . Research Question

In addition to corporate culture , business ethics are kinds of ethics that deal with the implementation of ethical rules and principles within a business context or assess various moral and ethical disputes that may occur in a business setting

In practice , the implementation of business ethics makes particular assessment on what things are right or wrong . Furthermore , this assessment will underlie individuals to decide their actions

Concerning the significant roles of ethics in guiding corporations in making not only profitable but also ethical decision , therefore the research statement or question is

As ethics plays significant roles in business , how ethics defines itself as a silent partner in business and what impacts that companies will face if they neglect the incorporation of ethics in making business decision

I choose this research question since it might be completely different from others that may focus only on impacts of neglecting ethics in business decision or on describing the roles of ethics in business Therefore , instead of elaborating partial discussion on the issue , I decide to discuss the larger scale of ethics in business in to favor readers in understanding the need to incorporate ethics in business decision-making

For this reason , in the literature review , I employ several sources ranging from academic journals , magazines , online news and books that relate to the issue of ethics in business

3 . Methodology

The will employ qualitative approach , which is a research that is carried out through observations . The benefit of employing qualitative approach is it enables a researcher to investigate in little more detail on the individual perceptions of a phenomenon . However , since the research deals with the personal , therefore , such an investigation is limited in its scope

Moreover , observation becomes an important technique for collecting data concerning what occurs in a real-life situation . This method also helps us to reach an understanding about the perceptions of those who are being studied , in that situation . To be specific , we employ non-participant observation method especially by analyzing qualitative information from journals , books , magazines and many more
