Gray November 24 , 2007 The Ethical Issue that Face Operations Management Operations management is facing issues that are of ethical concern Being a wide field of study , different types of operation management faces their own ethical issues . For this , the ethical issues that information technology , as a type of operation management will be the focus of analysis . Information technology brings about a great change in technology revolution in the history of human . Among its greatest effects is on the global markets
and the accessibility of information in a fast and more convenient way . However , the rise of new technology is subjected to ethical issues because of its adverse potential to alter the society
The ethical issue that it faces can be the change in values of the people , changing from personal to a more impersonal , virtual and unknown to others . In the case of information access , the ethical issue that it faces is the possibility of criminality and hacking . These ethical issues are of utmost importance for they do not act dependently but instead , they are related to other issues . Among this is the intellectual property rights being a question for the easy access of information that this type of technology offers us . It can also outweigh the effect on social security and crisis . Thus , in conclusion , we should further investigate and develop this type of operation management in for us to achieve new technology and at the same time , without having to face ethical issues
