In the UK , qualitative research on immigration became a major concern in the 19th century when the issue started gaining considerable attention . It can be argued that immigration in the UK is closely allied to economic integration and diverse demographic changes On the other hand , the UK has placed sanctions on would be immigrants to control their inflow . However , it is intriguing to note that immigration restrictions and limitations have not reduced the zeal for Bulgarian and Romanian workers to work in UK 's construction industry
