The study delved into the role of social networking sites , such as Facebook , in relation to the political landscape of Thailand . Social networking sites have become popular due to a mix of marketing and accessibility features that matched the communication needs of the public . With the recent political events , the social networking sites have also served as a valuable tool in expressing and sharing the ideas of people throughout the world . The researcher used a qualitative approach in conducting the study . More

specifically , the researcher interviewed 10 Facebook users and gathered their responses regarding the role of social networking sites in politics . The results showed that social networking sites , such as Facebook , played a significant role in gathering the public into shared interests and also served as a means of communication for the people
