Admission to the Dental Residency Program

I graduated from the Niles West High School , Skokie , IL in June 2000 Subsequently , I completed my Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Illinois at Urbana - Champaign , IL in May 2004 . After that I have been a Doctor of Dental Surgery Candidate at the College of Dental Medicine at New York , NY . I have considerable externship experience and in the Gouverneur Healthcare Services Dental Clinic , New York , NY I have undertaken a number of restorative procedures . I have been attending to six patients

daily . This activity was done by me from September 2007 to January 2007 , on a weekly basis

In the month of July 2006 I garnered significant experience in clinical procedures and cases dealt with in the operating room at the Oral Maxillofacial Surgery Hospital Externship , Bronx VA , New York , NY . This experience proved to be invaluable . With respect to the focus area in periodontics and implants , I took an active part in several seminars and discussion groups . Moreover , I performed several implant and periodontal surgery assists . These were performed by me at the Columbia University New York , NY . In addition there are four periodontal surgery requirements whose completion date is expected to be sometime in March 2008 . I commenced this phase of my study in August 2006 and expect to complete it by May 2008

Some of the more important cases that I have either worked on or I am working on are given in the sequel . I completed an upper complete denture and a lower complete denture in May 2007 . Moreover , in the month of May 2007 , I completed five unit implants . In addition , I completed three unit Fixed Bridge work in the month of October , 2007 . In the same month , I completed an upper complete denture and lower removable partial denture . In addition , by December 2007 , I will be completing an immediate complete denture and a removable partial denture . Furthermore I have done several Ceramic Crowns and PFM Crowns . I have been proactively involved with dentistry as is evidenced by the fact that I was a Northeast Regional Board Assistant in Columbia University in February 2006 . I had made it to the National Dean 's List for the academic year 2002 - 2003 . Moreover , I had been awarded the J .E . Scott Scholarship for the academic year 2002 - 2003

These tokens of recognition of my scholarship also entailed a considerable amount of work experience . In addition , I was awarded the Korean News Scholarship in June 2000 and I had also been an Honor Society Member of the Niles West High School for the academic year 1999 - 2000 . Moreover , I had done a considerable amount of voluntary work for the Paik Henry DDS Dental Care in the summer of 2003
