What is mixed method research ? I choose this issue as this is relevant to my all graduate students . Moreover , this allows research to be viewed using three alternative approaches , particularly by using particular accepted ' approaches , e .g . positivism , interpretism . These accepted ' approaches are useful to the information professional for three reasons . First , the approach clearly communicates the stance of the research second , it allows others to quickly understand context and third , it provides a means for clearly articulating the

results of that research
