The accident which occurred at Michigan Avenue near Henry Ford Museum in Detroit City involved a transit lorry which hit her after experiencing braking problems as she crossed

Moreover the truck company was to blame because recent reports indicated that their trucks were causing serious accidents due to their faulty braking systems . Due to the brake failure , the lorry which approached the zebra crossing at a high speed avoided hitting a car that was in front of it and hit Stephanie Lewis who was almost crossing to the pavement , sweeping her off the ground and sending her flying five meters into the air and eventually falling against stone cliffs beside the road .
