Nokia , though were very rigid about their marketing techniques and strategies for a very long time . They didn 't make many changes as they kept bringing out new phones into the market . Some may even go as far as saying that their strategies had become monotonous and even stale . This gave an opportunity to other mobile manufacturers to break into the market even further and increase their share of it . They used methods different from Nokia 's brining about much , with many variations . For instance Nokia has chosen to go with model numbers for its mobile range whereas Motorola brings about flashy names for its different lines
Nokia , though has started caught up to this lack or defect in their marketing and has decided to do something about it to make a difference It introduced the N-series and its even launched a new smart phone called Surge

Marketing therefore is very important for the success of a product or service as it creates an image with which the brand is recognized Successful marketing brings about brand loyalty which goes a long way and brings tremendous results in the long run
