The opening week of new IPhone 3G saw a sell of a million

phones Compared to its older version it has done much better . The enthusiasm among buyers of this new IPhone was extremely high and even though there was an activation problem with the iTune software , the buyers remained interested . However , compared to Nokia 's sell of 10 million a week (Reuters , 2008 ) it is weak but it distinctly signifies the amount of interest created among buyers with incorporation of new technology and pricing . From the point of view of business administration and marketing , it is a very significant approach and the future of market economy can well use this incident as reference point on how a company can launch a better and cheaper version of an existing brand to attract customers

It is quite clear from the approach of Apple that they understand the need and preference of the customers in the open market environment of competition . As a result , they enjoyed this formidable success
