The crucible
The Crucible movie is based on the play The Crucible by Arthur Miller The movie takes place in 1692 Massachusetts . This drama film stars Daniel Day-Lewis and Winona Ryder , and was directed by Nicholas Hytner The story is based on the witch trials in Salem , Massachusetts . A girl named Abigail Williams (Ryder , along with several other girls , charged several people of being witches , motivated by her misguided love affair with John Proctor (Day-Lewis . The mistrustful village is so much open to trust anything the group of children speaks . As series of events

occur , another good plot emerges . Judge Danforth (Paul Scofield ) is brought in to direct the trials . Mary Warren (Karron Graves ) confessed that they were lying . This twist offered the most thrilling scene , the heart-pounding climax
The music was pretty good . I felt that it was exceptionally effective in bringing out the mood of the scene , as well as the emotion from the viewers . This is complemented superb costume design , which is highlighted by the broadened setting , splendid set , and pleasant photography by Andrew Dunn . In addition , I would rate the special effects 6 out of 10 . No specific effect is worth noting , but the general effects succeeded in bringing out an excellent picture quality
Overall , the film is good , and beyond questioning . The real power of the movie is in its fictitious and theatrical behavior , specifically its arrangement and pointed dialogue , carried out splendidly by a top cast
